Founded in August 2005, Substance Design is the brain-child of Robert Salter and Glan Thomas. We believe that creating effective web solutions requires a strong synergy between design and technology. Our diverse backgrounds allow us to deliver the highest standards of all aspects of web design, build and deployment.

Glan Thomas MBCS MEng - TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Glan is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all development projects. He has over 7 years experience developing web solutions and has won several awards for his work. In this time he has successfully managed a diverse range of projects for a broad spectrum of industries, including graduate recruitment, corporate hospitality, e-commerce, broadcast media, news, entertainment and travel.

Glan holds a Masters degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick

Robert Salter - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Rob is responsible for managing the design aspects of projects. He has over seven years experience, some of which was spent working for a London-based design agency specialising in the music and fashion industries. Rob has worked with clients such as Virgin Records, Sony BMG and Univerisal Music TV. Later he moved to a computer games publisher handling packaging and website design for a number of top selling games including Chessmaster 9000, Rayman 3, Worms 3D and the Commandos series.

Over the years Rob has developed a real 'eye for detail' - being able to develop ideas both on and off the screen.
